Lawrence Winnerman

Writing the hinge. Building the future.

Hello

One person, many surfaces.

I'm a Gen X founder-operator and writer. Twenty-five years inside Microsoft and Amazon, then displaced by ageism and the same wave of AI I now happen to be very good with. I rebuilt as a one-person company running a portfolio of media and publishing projects with Claude as my integrated executive partner, and the work I'm doing now is the most generative run of my life—a sentence I did not expect to write at fifty-six.

What you'll find here: writing on hinge moments in politics, technology, and culture; near-future scenarios; a novel-in-progress called The Shattered World Series; and the projects I've built or co-built along the way. Kintsugi as method, defiant joy as resistance, a small group changing the course of history.

Work

What I'm building.

These started as side projects that didn't know they were supposed to stay small. They're related—variations on paying close attention to what's happening in politics, technology, and culture, and trying to make something useful from it—but they're also genuinely their own things. I run them all because I can't seem to stop.

A documentary and a companion book about building Peptidings with Claude—what it actually looks like, week by week, to run a serious publication with an AI as your integrated executive partner. In production. The book is half-drafted.
